Lulu's Story

My name is Lulu and in February 2021, I found a lump in the shower 😢
When I found this lump, it felt like the air left my body..it was like I immediately knew.
I had a mammogram when I was 36 because a pink truck was outside my doctors office, offering free mammograms, I recieved a letter saying I had dense tissue and to come get checked in 6 months. I didn’t. So fast forward a couple of years later, and there it was.
The beginning of a really scary journey.
A lot of people take the news with grace, or peace.
I did not!
I completely lost it.
My family was in Australia and I was in a new town where I didn’t know anyone.
It was a very dark and lonely time.
Mostly scary AF!!
I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer stage 3b, it was in my lymph nodes.
I did 16 chemo (4 of those where the red devil-the other 12 taxol)
After the first 4, I had an ultrasound and was lucky to find out, it was no longer visible.
After the full 16, i had a full pathological response!! 🙌
I then had a double mastectomy and 28 radiation’s.
After all that I was monitored every 3 months for 3 years, and whewwww that in itself was a journey.
Lumps and bumps along the way, ct scans, mri’s, body scans, lots of tears and terror.
But.
It’s now 4 years since diagnosis and I’m doing well.
Im alive ❤️
Now this next 5th year is me, taking back my body and mind.
Working hard to get to a place where I don’t live in fear.
Where I feel a sense of peace.
It’s a long and sometimes lonely road, but treatment is better and better.
One foot in front of the other, no matter how you get there.
Don’t lose hope.
Be kind to yourself.

WE CAN SURVIVE THIS!!!
WE ARE AMAZING!!! ❤️❤️❤️
